The Beginning

What started as Caspian Custom Canvas, a small company dedicated to crafting high-quality custom boat covers and interior cushion covers, laid the foundation for something far greater.

1990

Expanding Horizons

Recognizing a growing need in the industry, Caspian Custom Canvas took a bold step forward,  expanding its expertise into billboard and banner finishing—laying the groundwork for its evolution.

1995

A New Identity

With its continued success and a refined focus on helping brands stand out, Caspian Custom Canvas transformed into shomi!—a name that reflects its bold mission to help clients stand out and show off their best.

2005

Pioneering New Products

This year marked a major milestone as shomi! expanded its offerings to include custom-designed extrusions for SEG fabric and vinyl. The company also installed the world’s largest sewing pit, cementing its dominance in billboard and banner finishing.

A large Joe Fresh SEG Fabric Display features various fashion images, including adults and children modeling jackets, dresses, and casual wear. The setting includes a checkout counter with lights overhead in a vibrant retail environment.

2010

shomi! shifted its focus to the trades, supplying high-quality, custom-made retail displays and trade show signage. The company’s precision and craftsmanship soon earned it a reputation as a leader in the industry.

2017

Growth & Innovation

As demand surged, shomi! not only grew its team but also led the way in product innovation. The introduction of the iMPAKT-in-Motion, Canada’s first animated lightbox, redefined what a display could do, combining innovation with artistry.
